Affiliate Program

Earn by sharing SetMate with the musicians you know.

If you teach, lead worship, make music content, or just know a lot of gigging musicians, the SetMate Affiliate Program lets you earn a commission for every person you bring on board. Get your own referral code, share it, and earn whenever a referral subscribes and stays past their free trial.

How it works

• Get your code. In SetMate, go to Settings → Refer & Earn and tap Become an affiliate to get a unique referral code (for example, JAKE20).
• Share it. Your audience enters your code when they sign up — it works the same in the app and on the web.
• Earn. Once a referral's paid subscription has stayed active for 30 days (past the free trial and clear of the refund window), your commission becomes payable.
• Track everything. Your in-app dashboard shows your signups, conversions, and earnings — all anonymized.

Your audience saves, too — on the web

When someone signs up with your code and subscribes on the web (app.setmateapp.com), they get a discounted introductory price on SetMate Pro — and you still earn your full commission:

• Annual: 14-day free trial, then $29.99 for the first year, then $39.99/year (save $10)
• Monthly: 14-day free trial, then $3.99/month for the first year, then $4.99/month
• Lifetime: $89.99 one-time, normally $99.99 (save $10) — a one-time purchase with no free trial

The discount is web only. In the iOS app, a referral code still credits you, but Apple controls the price there, so App Store subscribers pay the standard rate. To make sure your audience gets the discount, send them to the web sign-up — for example: "Get SetMate Pro at a discount — sign up at app.setmateapp.com with code JAKE20."

What you earn

You earn a commission each time a referral converts from the free trial to a paid subscription:

• $1 for a monthly subscription
• $5 for an annual subscription
• $10 for a lifetime purchase

Once a referral converts, the commission is held for 30 days while the subscription stays active — this clears the refund window. If the subscription is refunded or ends during those 30 days, the commission is reversed; after the 30 days it becomes payable. Rates may change; your current rate is always reflected in your dashboard.

Getting paid

Payouts are sent by PayPal to the email address you set in your Refer & Earn dashboard. Make sure it's filled in so we can pay you. United States affiliates who earn $600 or more in a calendar year must complete a W-9 before we can send further payouts; we'll issue a 1099 at year-end. We'll prompt you automatically as you approach the threshold.

Payout schedule

Payouts are sent monthly for any balance that has cleared the 30-day hold and exceeds the $10 minimum. Balances below $10 are never forfeited — they simply roll over and are paid in a later month once they cross the threshold. Any balance remaining when you leave the program (or on request) is paid out regardless of the minimum.

Program terms

• A referral code can be entered at sign-up or any time before a user first subscribes. It can't be added after someone has already become a paying subscriber, and it can only be set once.
• You can't refer yourself.
• Referral discounts apply to web sign-ups only (app.setmateapp.com). In the iOS app a referral code credits the affiliate but does not change the App Store price.
• Commissions are paid only on subscriptions that convert to paid and clear the 30-day hold. Installs and trial sign-ups alone do not earn a commission.
• Apple's commission on App Store purchases is deducted before commissions are calculated.
• SetMate may adjust commission rates, suspend codes, or end the program at any time. Fraudulent or abusive activity will result in removal from the program and forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
• Affiliate activity shown to you is anonymized and never identifies the people you refer.
• Disclosure. When you promote SetMate you must clearly disclose that you earn a commission, as required by the U.S. FTC endorsement guidelines (for example, "#ad" or "I earn a commission"). Failure to disclose may result in removal from the program.
• Participating in the program — by enrolling and sharing your code — constitutes acceptance of these terms, which may be updated from time to time.
